Alex Jeffreys Coaching Session Module 4 - Take Aways

Hi Friends!

Another Alex Jeffreys Coaching Session ticked off the list!

I’m at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf while I’m writing this. It’s a Saturday for me. I was working two jobs the whole month: my day job and my alter ego as a web marketer. After yesterday’s 6-hour coaching session, and working like a beheaded chicken at work,

I crashed and slept like a log for more than 12 hours straight.
Now, the afternoon sun is bright and sunny, and there’s a noisy crowd in the shop at Island Plaza.  Most of them look like Fitness First people and they are talking up a storm.

I just walked in with camo shorts, a Bruce Lee (hoo-watta!! weave in weave out, hoo…) t-shirt and a Lenovo netbook in tow. I was dead set in making a blog or two by today! So here we go…

My Take-Aways

I want to start with the take-aways because this feels like a longish blog for me. So to give my readers instant gratification, I’ll put the take-aways ahead of the rest. :D

1.    I’m going to win the contest, Alex! Alex Jeffreys is a smart coach, in his efforts to keep us on our toes and make us take action, he’s given us something big to shoot for. In a nutshell, the most eyeballs who look at our blogs will get a nice prize.

2.    And I’m going to help people AND Win! Yes, readers, you heard it right. I’m going to help others and still win. I believe that the way the universe works, you help people with a full heart, you’ll get a lot of love in return, including getting what you want.

3.    I’m going to step out of my comfort zone and do some videos and slides. Writing’s no problem to me, but videos and youtube stuff is a whole different territory for me. Nevertheless, I’m going to to do it!

4.    I’m going to follow my plan. Yes, like most humans, sometimes I still slack off. But for me to win the contest, I’ll follow my quantified daily and weekly plans to the letter.
It sound sooo simple, but believe me, its going to be a fun ride. :D

The Coaching

The last Alex Jeffreys Coaching Session was held at about the same time as the last one. 7am Malaysia, 11pm UK, 6pm Eastern Standard, 10am Australia.
As such, I wish I can see how many people are in the class and if I could get my hands on a list of my classmates. I really want to get together and have a great time with these 500-odd people.

The Fortunate 500. Sounds like King Leonidas’ 300 at Thermopylae. :D  Unlike them, we’ll survive. And like them we’ll turn into Legends.

The 4th Alex Jeffreys Coaching Session Module was about Social Media Money. And the name is quite appropriate.

Alex has an interesting theory about blogs. And he relates this to ocean fishing.
I ask you, where the best place to catch a large school of fish? Where when there’s a vast ocean, can you 100% of the time find enough fish to fill your nets? The answer may surprise you: near or under oil rigs.

The Oil Rig Scenario

When an oil rig is set up, its pylons become occupied by the denizens of the seas. Algae starts growing on the pylons, attracting mollusks to grow on the pylons as well, attracting fish, which attracts even more fish to the oil rig.
Soon enough you got yourself a full-fledged ecosystem running under your oil rig. Left alone for years, it become a long-term fixture in the open seas.

Relate this to blogging. Your blog is the oil rig.
When you create blog articles (algae), you create food for the people make comments on (clams), which attracts web surfers looking for information(fish), to write more comments on your articles (clams) if it is really really good, attracting even more fish (web surfers) to the site….

To find out more about Oil Rig Hopping and the Oil Rig Rules, click here.

Soon enough you get referred, tagged, bookmarked and copied, and you’re famous. You’ll be viewed as an expert anda really cool dude to hang around with. A simple strategy which requires patience, honesty, cooperation, and a little bit of hard work on the outset.

The lecture took 2 hours and the rest was the time Alex fielded questions from EVERYBODY who had a question in the call. He absolutely (again) didn’t stop until we had no more questions to ask (and we did ask a ton of questions).

By the time it was over, it was 1pm Malaysia, 5am UK, 12mn Eastern Standard, 4pm Australia.

It was long, and I lost sleep over it, but well worth the time and effort we put in. My classmates are absolutely worth helping out! You can never find another nice bunch of people. :)

If you are interested in having a mentorship with Alex Jeffreys, his Coaching Sessions are full and closed for the moment. His next classes will be announced so please regularly check here.

So Why Alex Jeffreys?

Funny to put him last on the blog, but Alex will understand. He would say the message is more important.

Here’s what I like about Alex Jeffreys.

For some reason, Alex Jeffreys does not claim to be a guru. Actually he prefers to say that he’s only a little bit ahead of us. He’s not shy to say that he’s still on a steep learning curve to the top.

So why did we plunk some hard-earned cash to get what he knows? Well, he’s made six-figure incomes, and was mentored by the likes of Mike Filsaime, Michael Cheney, Tim Knox, and Rich Schefren so you can see why he’s such a phenomenon in internet marketing.

But it’s not just that. Alex Jeffreys has some heart. He was generous with his information (FREE), the information made sense (VALUE) and he had a good message (OFFER) in his video presentation.

His offer to help didn’t sound bogus and he takes the time to interact with us. Not to mention him sustaining 6+ hours of  support calls past 11pm in the UK, that’s unheard of.

You can get his latest report about List Building here.

So I would say, after experiencing some gurus myself, that you wouldn’t go wrong being mentored by Mr. Alex Jeffreys.

Stay tuned! More blogs to come! :)

Getting Out of Debt With A Debt Consolidation Company

Today millions of Americans find themselves deep in credit card debt. In some cases it’s because someone in the family lost their job and using the credit card was the only way to survive for a while. In other cases, it’s due to poor money management on the part of the credit card holder spending beyond their means. Whatever the cause, once you get into credit card debt, it’s hard to get out of.

One answer that a lot folks use to reduce credit card debtis to go through a credit consolidation company. Although not necessarily the best of solutions, it’s likewise not the worst. For a lot of people, particularly those who seem to have too many credit cards to handle, the primary benefit that a credit consolidation organization offers is that they only have to remember to pay one bill a month. The second benefit that many companies provide is to get the interest rates lowered on your credit cards and, if you’re deep into debt, to maybe even get a portion of the interest waived.

It’s worth noting that there is nothing magic about either of these actions. You could easily contact the credit card companies yourself and do your own negotiation. For those that feel uncomfortable negotiating or who are out of their debt when talking about financial issues, however, a debt consolidation company may be the right call for them. In fact, some debt consolidation agencies have built up such a good reputation in the field that they have personal contacts at various credit card companies that make it easier for them to set up new terms and payment arrangements for you without having to go through a learning curve.

Using a debt consolidation company can be a legitimate way to try to pay off your credit card debts. Unfortunately, however, for every honest debt consolidation company in the market, there are dozens of scam consolidation agencies looking to part you from your money. When hiring one to work for you, just be sure that the company you are working with is both reputable and credible.

How to Deal With Pesky Unwanted Calls

To avoid unwanted calls you can use many services offered by your phone company.

Call screen (*60):
Your phone can be programmed to reject calls from selected numbers with a service called call screen (Phone companies might use different names). Instead of ringing on your line, these calls are routed to a recording that tells the caller you will not take the call.

With Call Screen, you can also program your telephone to reject calls from the number of last person who called. This allows you to block calls even if you do not know the phone number. Most phone companies charge a monthly fee for this service.

However, Call Screen is not a foolproof way to stop unwelcome calls. A determined caller can move to a different phone number to bypass the block. Also, Call Screen does not work on long distance calls from outside your service area.

You can also use Priority Ringing:
You can assign a special ring to calls from up to 10 numbers – calls you are most likely to want to answer. The rest can be routed to voice mail. There are ways callers can get around Priority Ringing when it is used as a screening tool. Harasser can switch phone lines and avoid the distinctive ring.

You can try Call Return (*69):
This service allows you to call back the number of last person who called, even if you are unable to answer the phone. Some people suggest that call return can be used to stop harassing callers by allowing you to call the harasser back without knowing their phone number. Use caution with this method of discouraging harassing callers, however, as it could actually aggravate the problem. This service is paid on a per-use basis.

You can use caller id to identify the caller if they are not blocking their number or use a service offered by most phone companies called Privacy Manager. It works with Caller ID to identify incoming calls that have no telephone numbers. Calls identified as “anonymous,” unavailable,” out of area” or “private” must identify themselves in order to complete the call.

Before your phone rings, a recorded message instructs the caller to unblock the call, enter a code number (like inbound call blocking devices mentioned above), or record their name. When your phone rings, you can choose to accept or reject the call, send it to voice mail, or send a special message to telemarketers instructing them to put you on their “do not call” list.

What does it mean when sometimes my phone rings and there is no one on the line?
Oftentimes, when you receive frequent hang ups on your phone line it could be that someone is checking to see if you are home or its simply harassment. It could also be calls from telemarketers who use computers for “predictive dialing” to call consumers where the computer dials many phone numbers in a short period of time. When anyone answers, the computer finds a sales representative who is not occupied at that time and connects the call.

If all sales reps are busy then consumer may hear only silence. These type of calls are called “abandoned calls.” If you are receiving many abandoned calls in a day, you can call the annoyance department of your local phone company. If these repeated calls are from a malicious individual who is harassing you rather than a telemarketer, the phone company will generally report the number to law enforcement.

Background of the Bomber Jackets

As early as World War I when airplanes had open cockpits, pilots began seeking clothing to provide warmth and comfort in the cold temperatures of the open skies.  Thus the birth of the legendary “Bomber Jacket” or “Flight Jacket” was born.

Over the years, there have been many variations from the unofficial and popular early leather flight jacket of 1915 through 1917 to later official military issue bomber jackets such as the 1931 “A2 Bomber Jacket.”

Originally, pilots and crews wore whatever they could find because no formal or official clothing was issued to handle the extreme cold and weather conditions the pilots faced in world war I.  Heavy long leather jackets quickly became popular with tight snug cuffs around the writs, tight fit around the waists, and high collars to help protect from the cold.  These are the design principles that are at the core of what today we commonly think of as a flight jacket or bomber jacket.

At the end of world war I, the US army created the Aviation Clothing Board and started distributing these heavy leather jackets.

By the time World War II broke out, the US Air Corp was distributing the A2 Bomber Jacket.  The Navy and Marine Corp were issued a similar jacket that became known as the G-1.

As aircraft technology developed throughout the war, airplanes were now flying at much higher altitudes and much higher speeds.  Temperatures inside these planes – often flying with open doors – plummeted!    And the stylish bomber jackets started to give way to a much warmer jacket with a lining of wool or fur.  These new jackets were popularized by the B3 Bomber Flight Jacket, a large wool and fur lined jacket with large cargo pockets.

Ground personnel and flight crews quickly adopted the pilot’s B3 Bomber Jacket and the new B7 Flight Jacket became the instant rage.

A decade later introduced the new age of the jet with its enclosed compartments and more attention needed to be paid to the warmth, comfort, and safety of the pilots.  The B-15 Flight Jacket was designed out of nylon and other synthetic materials to keep the pilot both warm and dry.  The lighter weight and more flexible comfort was also appreciated.  As jet technology continued to develop, the MA-1 jacket removed the fur collars because they interfered with the harness of the pilot’s parachute.  Today, you can often find both the B-15 and the Leather MA-1 Flight Jackets with and without the fur collars.

A classic flight jacket or bomber jacket is consider a both a stylish and practical piece of clothing.  Suitable for a night out on the town or a practical outdoor excursion – and should be in every man’s closet.

My Top 3 Affiliate Marketing Tips

What I am about to reveal will probably not make some fellow gurus happy, but this needs to be said:

- No matter what they say about affiliate marketing, it’s virtually impossible for everyone to get those 5,000 - 10,000 dollars a month they are raving on about. The reason? There is simply too much competition! However my fellow gurus are correct on one point: No money will fall into your hands if you are not doing anything to get it there…

I decided to help you get started in the right state of mind, by giving you these high level tips below, that will help you make some money with the different kinds of affiliate marketing programs you can find on the internet.

1. Google Adwords

Some say the days of free traffic are over, but there are still some traffic coming that way, however those hits are surely fading away quickly. You can choose to work hard creating web pages that rank well in the search engines, but still - it’s very hard to do. If you still feel like trying, there are lots of Search Engine Optimization Guides available for you to download, both paid and free.

Simply by paying for clicks with Google (it’s called the Adwords program), you can get the top three positions on the search engines that matter the most - in a matter of minutes. It may come as no surprise to you that there are lots of guides available on how to optimize your google adwords campaigns as well! Did you know that the “engine” that drives some of the traffic is called Adsense? The adsense program allows website owners to put ads on their sites, and when the ads are clicked - the site owner just made some cents online. Most Google Adwords Guides recommend turning off that part of the campaign, due to the click fraud involved, which will give you bad quality, non converting traffic.

2. Your own email list

Building an email list of subscribers is hard, but doable. The task of sending offers to your very own email list is the ideal way to build a residual income online. Instead of sending traffic away and hoping for the best, the best alternative for you (in my opinion) is having your own email list to which you will be able to send multiple offers on periodic intervals. There are lots of autoresponder services that you can subscribe to, and if you feel like having total control, there are several Autoresponder Scripts available for purchase as well.

3. Having Your own affiliate program

Did you know that the gurus are aware of the fact that every visitor that fills out form on your site can generate 50 cent in revenue? What about if you pay someone 25 cents (50% commission) to generate that same amount of traffic, that you would otherwise pay Google to get?

This is the secret most newbies don’t know (and that the gurus don’t want you to know about): Let others generate the traffic you need to make some sales! There are a lot of advantages using this approach, including the fact that now others pay Google to get the traffic for you.

Final Words:

Yes, when it all comes down to it, everything involves paying for traffic in one way or the other. Just remember - in order to make the online income you dream about, you’ll need to invest very wisely in the different kinds of advertising available to you.

To Your Success,

Good bedtime routine is essential

If you are always tired it might be a sign that your body is not getting enough sleep, or at least, the right kind of sleep. Your body needs to be follow the correct sleep cycles else you are always going to be tired during the day. Regardless. it is essential that you establish a bedtime routine that works for you and stick with it. Your body and mind need to have consistency at this time so that you can learn to fall asleep naturally.

Decide on a course of action for your sleep routine and stick with it for at least a week or two before making changes to your routine. Write down your plan of action, including bedtime and waking time. Stick to your routine and after a week or two has passed and you are still experiencing difficulty sleeping make appropriate adjustments. The key here is to be consistent and determined.

Your goal should be to establish a regular sleep schedule. Wake up each morning at the same time and try not to oversleep. Sleeping longer in the morning will only make you feel groggy and disoriented and feeling tired for the rest of the day.

Sleep experts believe that you should get an average of seven to eight hours of sleep each night - although this differs from person to person and once again, is dependent on the fact that you should get your sleep dose in the right sleep cycles. You can’t make up for sleep that you lose during the night by sleeping in later in the morning. Simply do your best during the day and try to get back to your sleep schedule that night.

Try to get ready for bed at the same time each night. Once you have established what hours work best for you then try to be consistent. It is important to realize that a regular bedtime routine is imperative to your goal of achieving natural sleep. Create a routine that will prepare you for sleep.

The routine can be as simple as brushing your teeth or reading a book. Whatever routine you decide on it will be a way of telling your unconscious that it is time to fall asleep. Try to make sure that your routine is relaxing and not stimulating so that your mind can rest. Make sure that daytime naps are not part of your daily routine!

If you allow yourself to sleep during the day, even if it just for a few minutes, you will confuse your body’s ability to differentiate between day and night sleeping. This might contribute to feelings of constant fatigue.

Make an effort to try staying active when you are feeling tired during the day and eat a small piece of fruit to increase your energy level. Remember that natural remedies work differently for each individual. Think positive thoughts as you design a sleep routine that is right for you. Don’t become discouraged if you have to change and alter your nighttime routine after a couple of weeks.

What is a thermal printer?

Thermal printers are used to transfer an impression onto paper using heat. There are two types of thermal printers. Direct Thermal Printers and Thermal Wax Transfer printers.

Direct thermal printers use direct heat from elements to burn an image directly onto the page. This was a method originally used in early fax machines and is still an effective method of printing today.

Thermal wax transfer uses a printer that adheres a wax-based ink onto paper. A thermal printhead melts wax-based ink from the transfer ribbon onto the paper. When cool, the wax is permanent. This type of thermal printer uses an equivalent panel of ink for each page to be printed, no matter if a full page or only one line of print is transferred. Monochrome printers have a black page for each page to be printed, while color printers have either three (CMY) or four (CMYK) colored panels for each page. Unlike thermal dye transfer printers , also called dye sublimation printers, these printers print images as dots, which means that images must be dithered first. As a result, images are not quite photo-realistic, although they are very good. The big advantages of these printers over thermal dye transfer printers are that they don’t require special paper and they are faster.

Both of these printers can be used as plastic card printers. PVC card printing is an art unto itself as PVC Cards generally need to be more resilient than conventional paper cards. As a result, special methods usually need to be employed to ensure that the image or information is firmly ingrained on the card but this does mean that these types of cards can typically be used for membership cards and ID cards.

Thermal printing is an exceedingly effective method of ensuring the adherence of your information to the PVC Card as it is both permanent and relatively cost effective.
