Present Your VA Niche On Your Website!
As a Virtual Assistant of relatively long standing in this industry (1999), I have a VA website that covers most of my services, which works very well for me as an online brochure - don’t you just love being available to prospective clients any time at place?
As I sat thinking about it, I decided to write down a list of my services and then analyse what I really do well. When it came to it, getting it down on paper was the hardest part (it’s a bit like going to the gym, dreadful to get out the door, but once you’re there on the treadmill, you’re pleased as punch!); but as soon as I started and wrote down my top service (and here’s the important thing), my favourite service, my pen started to flow.
I was now defining how I offered my VA Niche, which happens to be digital transcription; the types of files that I transcribe, how long it takes to transcribe files, depending on clarity and the number of people speaking etc. Then what about security? The internet provides great tools like SendThisFile, (so that clients can send encrypted, compressed voice files that just don’t go astray). So now I’m offering a confidential and secure VA Niche - a high priority to my prospective clients!
What I was really pleased about was getting rid of the negatives. No longer did it look like I was ‘Jack of all Trades’ or that I was waffling about all and sundry just to fill a page. I could get down to the nitty gritty of being straight to the point and the client would know exactly what was on offer.
My VA business partner, Di Chapman http://:www.iceni-it.co.uk and I http://www.alternative-office.com are now helping new and aspiring Virtual Assistants worldwide either get off the starting block with a great first website, or Virtual Assistants already in business with a second niche website - Check out Wannabe a VA http://www.wannabe-a-va.com, and put yourself on the virtual map - Present Your VA Niche On Your Website!
