Would looking at fitted kitchens make you remain in your current house.

With the property market showing a rise for the first time in months people may once again be considering shall i sell my house or improve it. With many still not sure how the market is going to go I thought I would look at the centre piece or heart to any house the Kitchen. Whether you have a fitted kitchen a bespoke handmade kitchen or an individually chosen number of kitchen units, the space needs to work for you.

It may seem like little things but anything that you consider doesn’t work for you should be jotted down and set aside ready for when you really do begin kitchen planning. A kitchen when set out correctly makes working within it an absolute pleasure instead of having the usual conflicts of not being able to stand somewhere without being in the way. By making sure that a kitchen has spaces within it that people can chill in and at the same time refining the work areas to work more intuitively can make all the difference to this most central of places.

Fitted kitchens should only be purchased if you know that the person selling you that specific style of kitchen knows how a kitchen should work and that some things will work and other set ups wont. From the cooker itself there should be a really defined working triangle that provides you room to prepare food, an area to cook the food and a space to wash and dispose of the leftovers and preparation cast off’s. Any job that you do is simpler if you have the right tools to do it with, in this way you can ensure that any tasks you do in the kitchen can either be fast preps or just long extended enjoyable experiences.

For myself with most fitted kitchens I have done any cooking in the main lack I have found with them is that they are often really difficult to negotiate around. Making it very difficult to work fluidly and in some instances safely, we have a little boy and you need an area to be safe so that any children aren’t tripped over or stood on or worse have something spilt on them. Design can always make sure that things like this don’t happen with the addition of individual areas you can ensure you have a space that can be just for eating and an area you can cordon off with a simple gate to make sure you can work safely. I hope this is article is of use my name is David Harland.
