Digest Cellular Matter, Reduce Inflammation, And Boost Circulation With Serrapeptase

Serrapeptase is made by specific bacteria found in the gut of silkworms and these bacteria digest their cocoons (silk). With the discovery of this amazing enzyme research has also found how serrapeptase exerts many beneficial effects on the body one of which clears mucus by reducing neutrophil numbers and altering the viscoelasticity of sputum in patients who have chronic airway diseases (sinus problems).  Serrapeptase is considered a proteolytic enzyme as well as a systemic enzyme.

Proteolytic enzymes are the primary tools the body uses to digest organic debris in the circulatory and lymph systems.  Proteolytic enzymes can enter the bloodstream and digest these invaders that can cause health problems if left unchecked.  Proteolytic enzymes have the unique ability to effectively digest dead cellular matter and scar tissue, while leaving active, living cells intact.  For example, bromelain is a group of sulfur-containing proteolytic enzymes obtained from the fruit and stem of the pineapple plant and other plants.

One proteolytic enzyme named papain is derived from the papaya plant that was first developed by the Rothi family which supports proper digesting of the foods we eat in the digestive tract.  Recent scientific evidence supports the use of proteolytic enzyme supplements for enhancing digestive function and for speeding recovery from injury/surgery and reducing swelling and inflammation.

Systemic enzymes operate throughout your body in every system and organ as well as in the digestive tract.  Systemic enzymes can tell the difference between the proteins that are supposed to be in your body and those that are foreign or not supposed to be there.  It can increase blood circulation because they can reduce the factors that make the blood thicker. Serrapeptase, a systemic enzyme, can effectively dissolve the fibrous material that thickens the blood as well as reduce inflammation and swelling.

Serrapeptase therapy may prove to be a useful alternative mode of conservative treatment with drugs and surgery.  Serrapeptase is used as an alternative to Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) which are commonly used to treat arthritis and inflammation.  It may even help support the lymphatic system boosting the elimination processes and the immune system. The proteolytic enzyme such as serrapeptase is widely used in clinical practice in Japan.  When looking for a supplement, find an enteric coated serrapeptase product so that the enzyme can pass the stomach acids and get to where it is needed, the intestinal tract.
